Cottage. C.16 with later alterations and additions. Coursed rubble
and timber framing with brick infill; stone tile roofs replaced at the
front with plain tile; stone external end stack to rear wing. T-shaped
plan; main range aligned east-west facing north, rear wing aligned north-
south. One storey and attic, stone ground storey, one tier of small
square timber framed panels above. Door to left of centre flanked by
small C20 casements, another casement to the right. Gabled attic dormer
above door. Timber framed rear wing, low stone outbuilding attached
to the south gable partly encloses the chimney stack. Interior. Chamfered
and stopped spine beam in the rear wing; large open fireplace with timber
bressumer; timber framed partition wall between rear wing and front range
incorporating a blocked doorway with triangular head.
