On eastern tie beam hangs late C18 three arch screen with royal and earls arms in gable and earls coronets as pendant finials. The Royal Arms are those of George III. Within the Order of the garter Quarterly 1 England impaling Scotland. 2 France modern. 3 Ireland. 4 Quarterly of three Brunswick, Luneburg and Westphalia, inescutcheon the Bonnet of Hanover. Earls Arms: Barry of six argent and azure in chief three torteaux a label of three points azure (Lord Grey of Groby). Inescutcheon of pretence Argent three sinister hands couped at the wrist and erect gules (Maynard co Devon or Agnew, Scotland) (Not the expected arms of Charteris-Wemyss) Supporters: a manticore or and an unicorn ermine armed maned tufted and unguled or, langued gules.
