The finials are urns topped with flames eternal. -Near this place, In full assurance of a glorious Resurrection, Lie interrd the remains of Edward Palmer esquire. He was primatively religious, A faithful Member of the Church of England. A Sincere Lover of his Country And eminently distinguished For generosity, Hospitality and Charity. A Sound Scholar. And adornd with every Qualification Becoming a Gentleman and a Christian . He departed this life July 17th 1770 In the Seventy third Year of his Age-. Arms, Azure a chevron engrailed between three crescents argent. (Photo Mar 2010).
