One of a series of Swithland slate headstones carved in a distinctive style by a craftsman local to the Vale of Belvoir. The lettering is relief carved. -Here lies the body of Mary the wife of John Doubleday who departed this life August the 5th 1733 aged 35 years-. (Photo Jul 2013).
