C1840 substantial red brick villa set back behind carriage sweep through garden.
Linked coach house to south side and C1870-80 wing to north side. Plain villa
of 2 storeys 3 bays. Stucco plinth and first floor sill band. Flat eaves to
hipped slate roof with flanking corniced chimneys. Stucco revealed glazing
bar sash windows, with stucco sills on ground floor, stucco lintels with
incised central rosettes flanked by consoles supporting cornices with blocking
course. Ionic column porch, set on high plinths flanking approach steps,
entablature and blocking course. Panelled and glazed door with rectangular
fanlight. Screen wall extending south with stucco coping, service wing behind,
links with single storey coach house, 4 centred arch entrance. C1870-80 single
storey north wing a well proportioned classical addition of dark red brick with
rusticated quoins and parapet coping; tripartite window with consoles on
panelled base and oculus with patterned glazing.
