C1830-40 substantial detached stucco villa with ornate late Regency and
Grecian details. Two storeys, 3 bays with centre prominently advanced and
set back one bay wing to north side. The elevations richly articulated
by broad giant Corinthian pilasters on moulded bases, to angles, to corner
of centre break and to set back wing. Moulded plat band to first floor,
the giant order supports deep entablature with moulded modillion bracket
cornice and parapet. Concealed slate roof; corniced stucco chimney stacks.
The first floor windows are set in panels, the reveals framed by pilasters
with entablature lintels. The flanking ground floor windows are carried
down to shallow plinth, tripartite sashes with large console brackets
projecting out from dividers and scrolled up, between Greek key panels, to
the plat band. Similar tripartite arrangement to the doorway in centre
break with side lights to panelled door, similar console brackets carried
out and up between Greek key panels to high set moulded cornice. South side
has one bay return of giant order followed by large but lower 2 storey stucco
wing with 2 storey canted bay of C1860-70. Stable and service accommodation
to rear north west corner. The villa is set well back from road in large
