C1840 substantial stucco villa with Grecian details, set back behind carriage
sweep. Two storeys, 3 bays symmetrical to main block with fourth bay extension
to south and screen wall coach house to north. Deep plinth and giant quoin
pilasters on moulded bases; plat band; first floor window impost string and
frieze bed mould carried over quoin pilasters with corresponding breaks to eaves
cornice, plain parapet above. Cornice and parapet returned to flanking stucco
chimney stacks. Rather squat revealed sash windows to first floor. The ground
floor has tripartite rectangular bay windows with panelled aprons and moulded
stucco cornices, flanking square pier porch with palmette and anthemion patterned
capitals, deep entablature with projecting cornice. The porch is approached by
a flight of steps between ramped stucco walls. The one bay south extension has
main eaves cornice carried over and shallow rusticated quoins; tripartite ground
floor window and single sash on first floor both with cornices on consoles.
Stucco screen wall to north contains segmental arched coach house entrance.
