GV II
House. Early C18, heightened and remodelled in early C19. Red brick,
chequered with grey headers in older work, and plastered eaves soffit to
hipped slate roof. A 2-storeys, single-pile, end chimneys and central
entrance plan house facing S, extended by a lower parallel rear wing. S
front symmetrical with 2 windows to each floor, plastered central recess
and 6-panel door with rectangular fanlight. C19 gabled glazed porch.
Front has plinth and chequered brick floor band but ground floor windows
have been made higher by cutting up through the floor band and matching
1st floor windows extend into new brickwork above. Recessed tall triple
sash windows with plastered reveals and 2/2: 6/6: 2/2 panes. Included
for group value.
