GV II

House, now 3 houses. C17 or earlier altered and extended to rear
in C19. 2-storeys and attics timberframed with plastered upper
storey and brick facing to ground floor. Weatherboarded S end,
plastered on ground floor. Red brick shallow 2-storeys rear
extension at SW with red pantiled roof. Old red tile main roof
with catslide dormers to middle houses, one back and front.
Later 1-storey rear extensions. Lean-to extension on N end.
Former 3-unit central chimney plan house with later external
gable chimney added at S end to formerly unheated end. Stack
tops rebuilt in C19. 3-window front with 3-light central
casement and 2-light replacements each end on upper floor.
Similar 3-light ground floor window adjoining door. Small
windows inserted in line with central chimney stack 1/3 from N
end. N end (No 49) said to have large open fireplace and
bread oven recently exposed.
