at No 50 (Rose Cottage)
fronting the road

Garden railings, gateway and garden gate. Early C19. Cast iron
with wrought iron scrolls. Low brick plinth to railings.
Railings on each side of gate, upright spears with heavy moulded
spearheads rise from a continous moulded cast iron capping to the
brick plinth. Gateway with broad openwork cast iron standards
decorated with anthemion and swisted horn motifs. Rounded heads
of standards linked by a scrolled wrought iron overthrow. Simple
gate combines cast iron frame and spears with wrought iron
scrolls. Neo-classical iron railings and gate complementing the
early C19 stucco house.
