Farmhouse. Late C16 to early C17, extended late C17 with some mid-C20
alterations. Timber-frame with painted brick infill on a coursed rubble
plinth with tile roof. L-plan, main range to north-west with central stack,
range to south-west late C17 addition. South-east front of two storeys on -
cellar, jettied to right. Two windows, both 2-light casements; over a 2-
light casement to left and a 4-light casement to right. Cellar entrance
to right-hand corner with a 2-light casement to the left. The jetty
extended along the south-west wall before the wing was added, and survives
on north-east wall. Entrance in north-east wall approached by a flight of
steps, has a ledged and boarded door under a plank weathering. Framing:
four square panels high with straight angle braces. The chamfered bressummer
of the jetty is supported on curved brackets, with dragon beams at the corners.
The gable truss in north-east wall has two struts to the collar and trenched
purlins. Interior: has exposed chamfered and stopped ceiling beams. Stair-
case in south-west wing of C17 has heavy turned baluster, moulded hand rail
and square carved newels.
