These 7 houses form the North West angle of the Square. Circa 1769. 4
storeys and basement with area, Red brick. Glazing bars missing in the houses
on the north side. The doorcases of these houses on the North side have open
pediments and Tuscan 3/4 columns, semi-circular fanlights and 6 panel moulded
doors. The houses on the west side now form the back of Marks & Spencers
premises in the High Street. All the windows on the ground floor and the door-
cases have been blocked up. There is an arched carriageway through No 10 at
the west end of the north side in the corner of the square. Cast iron area
railings.

Nos 1 to 5 (odd) and Nos 6 to 15 (consec) form a group
