Small country house. Early C20. Timber-frame with brick infill, some gables
tilehung, brick with diaper-work, stone slate roof. Arts and Crafts Domestic
Revival. L-shaped plan of 2 storey and attic, 4 bay main range and 2 bay
projecting wing at one end forming base of L. Base of L is very convincing
copy of Tudor building. To LH gabled end of main wing, with 2-light casements,
and tilehung gable with single casement. 2-light casement in RH bay of wing and
between bays external brick chimney with moulded stack. To LH 2 and to RH 1
hipped dormer with 2-light casement overhanging RH gable. Ridge stack on junction
of roofs. Garden front has projecting wing to RH with full height glazed
projection canted each end, bow in centre, all under overhanging gable, on curved
brackets, with 2-light casement. Side of wing and main range have 3 or 4-light
casements on both floors. 2 hipped roof dormers on roof of wing. Ridge stack
with 3 octagonal shafts on main range.
