Formerly Church of St Thomas and St Clement. 1845-6, by E W Elmslie, the steeple completed in 1857. In the Decorated style. Coursed rubble with a tiled roof. Truer with brick spire. Good geometrical tracery. Three gables to street with chancel and aisles. Many pinnacles. Of great visual impact in the town.
