GV II

House. Early C17 origins, very much restored 1986. Rendered
brick under a roof clad with machine tiles. 2 storeys and
attic; 2-window range. The house is disposed gable-end to the
road, the gable having twin sashes to each floor with 6/6
glazing bars and flush frames. One 2/2 attic sash. Gabled roof
with side stacks north and south. The north return has a C20
door set below an open pediment on consoles. Several
cross-casements and 2-light casements. Gabled dormer in roof.
Extension to rear (east) of 2 storeys and dormer attic.
INTERIOR: mostly rebuilt in brick in 1986, plain and chamfered
bridging beams to ground floor. 2 early C17 bridging beams to
front first-floor room with sunk quadrant mouldings and
jewelled tongue stops. Roof of principals and butt purlins,
the collars removed.
