SO 61 NE MITCHELDEAN MERRIN STREET
(east side)

House; second quarter C19; ashlar plinth, smooth render, slate
roof. 3 window front, facing away from road, with 3 narrow rear
wings and one bay extension to left: 2 storey. Garden front
breaks forward in centre: front door in square, reeded surround
with corner paterae, 6 panels, bottom 2 flush: each side narrow
side-lights, with long, narrow fanlight over. Doorway covered by
early C20 lean-to porch with double, half-glazed doors. Either
side French doors with marginal lights above stone steps to garden.
Plain string at first floor level; three 4-pane wide sash windows
above. Hipped roof with wide, plastered eaves: gable chimneys.
On left one bay extension set well back, with one 4-pane wide sash
window per floor. on right wing wall set back, blind opening, top
sweeping down over half length: hides a single-storey lean-to.
