House and adjoining cottage, former farmhouse. Probably early C18, modernised in mid
C20. Plastered cob on rubble footings; rubble stacks with C19 brick chimney shafts;
thatched roof. L-shaped building with 3-room main block facing south and 2-room
cottage at right angles behind right (east) end. End stacks and rear lateral stack
to centre room in main block and axial stack to rear block. 2 storeys. Regular but
not symmetrical 4-window front of late C19 and C20 replacement casements, all with
glazing bars. C20 door left of centre with C20 open-sided and flat-roofed porch.
Original door is right of centre and now blocked by C20 window. Stacks project from
each end and roof is gable-end to left, hipped to right. Roofline drops over rear
cottage which has an outer 4-panel door with flat hood on shaped brackets.
Interior is much modernised but original roof is preserved - a series of plain A-
frame trusses with pegged lap-jointed collars.
