5/81 Meadowsweet Cottage

GV II

Cottage, C17 or earlier, timber framed and plastered and painted brick. Of
one storey and attics and with a gabled thatched roof. Front has C20 off-centre
enclosed porch with gabled pantile roof and imitation framing. Windows are
C19 casements with small panes and there is one eyebrow dormer on the rear
slope. Continuous lean-to with pantile roof at rear and one off-centre thin
ridgeline stack and gable and stack at south. Inserted floor beam is tusk
tenoned externally and appears on front elevation. Inglenook fireplace under
ridgeline stack.
