Byre, now a house. Circa 1600, converted 1980. Timber framed, plastered on E
elevation, weatherboarded elsewhere, roofed with black glazed pantiles. 4
unequal bays aligned approx. N-S, the end bays storeyed. The E elevation
(towards Lamarsh Hill) has one C20 casement window. Gablet roof with one
cylindrical metal flue. Main door at S end. W elevation, one pair of sliding
glass windows, 3 other windows of various types, one fixed light in gabled
dormer, 2 skylights, all C20. The interior has jowled posts, straight bracing
to wallplates trenched inside heavy studs, face-halved and bladed scarfs, arched
braces to cambered tiebeams, low-pitched wind-bracing (some replaced), clasped
purlin roof. The middle bays are open to the roof. The original W and E
entrances are blocked.
