ST 58 NE OLVESTON HOLM LANE

7/199 Holm Farm

Farmhouse. c.1800 with later alterations. Rubble with stone dressings,
pantiled roof with brick gable stacks. Symmetrical front. 2½ storeys,
3 windows, all 2-light casements with segmental heads, attic windows under
eaves, central gabled porch with segmental headed opening and slits to each
side, has plank door with glass insertion; south west elevation has plank door
and window above with ventilation louvres, both with segmental head, north east
elevation has single storey wing with C20 porch. Rear has catslide roof,
4 windows at ground floor, all with segmental heads, 2 to left and one to right
of 2 lights with flat mullion and iron stanchion, 2nd from right C20, 1st floor
has 2 openings under eaves, to right a loading door, to left with ventilation
louvres. Interior: straight stair, chamfered and stopped beams. (Original
mediaeval farmhouse on site to west, foundations visible, not included on list).
