Farm terrace. Late C18 with alterations and addition. Hammer dressed stone.
Quoins. Stone slate roof with gable copings on carved kneelers to barn. Two
storeys. South elevation: No 36 has Cl9 gabled wing with one 3-light stone mullioned
window and entrance to ground floor, and one 4-light window to first floor. In gable
apex is re-set 2-light chamfered stone mullioned window with round false arch over all
with very small leaded panes. Nos 38 and 40, to left, have mainly 2-light stone
mullioned windows, with some Cl9 windows. Two entrances probably C19. Barn: (turned
roof). Outshuts to left and right of central doorway. North side of barn has large
doorway with segmental arch. Ventilation slits. North elevation (rear) of houses:
No 36: mid C19 openings. No 38: one original 4-light window with 2 mullions removed,
and one C19 five-light window. No 40: one 3-light and one 2-light stone mullioned
window. East gable to No 40 has one 3-light stone mullioned window to first floor.
