1/113 Machine shop to
12th December 1978 east of Thwaite Mill

GV II

Machine shop to Thwaite Mill. Early C19, with later addition. Red brick
with slate roof, built on retaining wall of tooled sandstone blocks. Long
rectangular single-storey building (in 2 builds) at right-angles to Thwaite
Mill on opposite side of access road; gable end has doorway, stone gable
coping (pitched canopy bridging the road between the buildings and linking
them); south side, overlooking mill race, has 2 flat-arched fixed windows
with small panes in the older part, 3 similar windows in the extension. Some
similar openings on north side.
