SU 47 SW WELFORD WESTON

12/1 Weston Mill

II

Mill, now house. C18 with C20 alterations. Brick and painted weatherboard;
plain tiled roofs. Long rectangular plan with 1 storey wing at right angles.
2 storeys and attic and 1 storey with tabled dormer on West, side stacks to
North East and South West and ridge stack off centre to North. North
Elevation:- 1 storey wing to left with horizontal sliding sash and boarded
door. 2 storey gable end to right with English bond brick base and gable.
West Elevation:- to left, grey brick, header bond with three cambered
headed casements on ground floor and one casement on first floor, to centre.
Weatherboard upper half above brickwork. Stable type door on left and
casement above arch over race to right. 2 casements over, to right single
storey wing with half hip and horizontal sliding sash. Interior:- Mill
Wheel and some gearing still in place.
