Farmhouse. Early C19. Red sandstone rubble walls with flush quoins; sandstone
slate roof, stone chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Entrance right has top
glazed 6-panel door with gabled sandstone porch; entrance left has plain stone
surround with projecting cornice and reused quatrefoil panels above (thought to
have come from Kirkoswald Castle). 3-light chamfered stone mullioned windows
have small sash windows with glazing bars. Extends in L-shape to rear with
round headed staircase window. Adjoining outbuilding to left is of similar
stonework and roof; 2 levels of slit vents; single storey extension at right angles
to front. Other outbuildings excluded from listing.
