Farmhouse: dated 1631 with refenestration early C19 and alterations
to roof C20. English garden wall bond red and purple brick. Buff
sandstone plinth and quoins, Welsh slate roof, central brick chimney.
Square in plan with front porch. 2-storey symmetrical 3-bay front.
Band at 1st floor has cyma-moulded. stone in the quoining and moulded
bricks in the band. End bays have large 3-light wooden mullioned and
transomed windows with glazing bars, the central part of which slides
horizontally or is hinged, under cambered brick heads below; segmental
above. Central projecting formerly 2-storey gabled porch (now reduced
with a raking roof). Chamfered wooden doorcase with later framed and
boarded door with original strap hinges. Datestone above is broken
but reads R 1631. `
Interior: unusual plan around central stack with baffle entry behind
door. Bead moulded ceiling beams. 3-board door with long fishtail
strap hinges.
