ORMESBY LADGATE LANE, south side NZ 51 NW (off). 6/37 Pigsty range, c.35m north of Ormesby Grange Farmhouse. G.V. II

Pigsty range, mid/late C18, largely rebuilt 1982/86. Brick, with stone copings. Renewed clay pantile roofs. Crescent plan. Eight single-storey terraced, lean-to pigsties and end storage sheds, within crescent. Each has stable door. Four right-hand pigsties project slightly and have cambered-headed window with hit-and-miss and glazed upper lights at left of doors. Those at left each have lozenge-pattern breathers at left of doors. Small yard enclosed by wall and boarded gate fronts each sty. Sheds have boarded doors. Buttressed outer face of wall has alternate arrowloop and quatrefoil openings with plain stone surrounds.
