Eliot
GV II
Old kitchen garden wall, enclosing the kitchen garden of Port Eliot. C18. Red
brick, in alternate courses of headers and stretchers, with intermittent triple
courses of stretchers.
Roughly rectangular plan, with internal dividing walls forming 4 sections.
The walls are all about 4 metres high, with cornice and slate coping, with pilasters
at regular intervals inside and outside. Segmental-headed doorways in the outer
walls and in the dividing walls. At the north side, a C19 doorway with 4-centred
arched head. Along the inside north wall, lean-to greenhouses for vines and peaches.
