SW 7939 FEOCK ST JOHNS TERRACE, Devoran

7/80 Nos 20 and 21 and garden wall to
south

GV II

2 adjoining houses and front garden wall. Mid C19. Killas rubble walls, some
roughly coursed, with granite quoins, jambstones and lintels. Hipped asbestos slate
roofs. No 20 has wide eaves. Brick chimneys over side walls and 1 over party wall.
No 20 has 1-room wide double depth plan and No 21 has 2-room plan plus parallel range
to rear projecting beyond side wall of front part.
2 storeys. South fronts. No 20, left, has 2-window front with entrance under second
window. C20 windows, door and porch. No 21 has symmetrical 2-window front with
central doorway with latticed porch and original hornless 12-pane sashes. Shallow
brick arches. Lead flashing under slate sills.
Interior not inspected.
Low granite coped rubble wall to front; surmounted by C20 pierced concrete panels to
No 20.
This is one of a row of similar contemporary houses in St Johns Terrace which form an
impressive group in spite of later alterations to some of the houses.
