Farmhouse. Early C17, remodelled C19. Slatestone rubble granite ashlar to south,
rendered to west. Asbestos slate roofs with gable ends except hip to south of
present main range. Rendered lateral stack to front, freestone lateral stack, rear,
granite ashlar stack to gable end left and rubble stack to gable end of roofless west
wing. Irregular plan, possibly originally U shaped. Central part survives as wing
at right angles to present front originally probably parlour wing. Later gable ended
gable ended wing parallel to present front filling angle obscures original fronts.
Further service wing attached to north-west corner. 2 storeys. South front gives
impression of original appearance of house with 1 window, hipped end of wing left.
Moulded mid-floor string course and central 4 light granite mullioned window with
King mullion and hoodmould survives to first floor. Small paned casements. Central,
ground floor opening altered C18/C19 has 16 pane sash and cambered arch over with
granite voussoirs. Present, irregular, 4 window, main west front has horned 16 paned
sashes. 2 storey porch mentioned in previous list description not seen. Rear not
inspected.
