SW 93 NW VERYAN PORTLOE

8/132 Portloe Methodist Church
- including front wall and railings

GV II

Non-conformist chapel. Mid C19. Stucco over stone rubble with hipped Delabole slate
roof. Rectangular plan with small porch to north end. 2 storeys. Regular,
symmetrical. 3 window west front. Square headed sashes with margin glazing to
basement shoolroom and pointed arched planked door to extreme right. 3 pointed arched
sashes with marginal glazing to chapel. Pointed arched planked door to porch with
plain parapet over. Simple interior with original seating and rostrum with cast iron
detail. Flat ceiling with band and rose. Adjoining low wall along west front with
cast iron railings.
