Blue House, 2 lime kilns and Cliff Garden

Lime kilns probably C18 and adjoining cottages early - mid C19. Slatestone rubble
walls, grouted scantle slate roofs to cottages with brick chimneys over gable ends. 1
and 2 room plans to cottages. Lime kilns built into hill. 2 storeys. South street
front: 2 window cottage left with 4-pane sashes, possibly partly converted from kiln,
with end entrance; pair of semi-circular vaults for raking out lime (recesses at back
and sides). Kilns not inspected. 3 window cottage to right with C20 18-pane former
shop window to ground floor left. C20 top glazed door with overlight is central to
windows 2 and 3. 12-paned sashes and cambered brick arches. Interiors not inspected.
Well to rear. Included for group value.
