War memorial commemorating the men of Stratton who gave their lives in the First
World War, additional inscription commemorating those who died in the Second World
War. Early C16 monolith shape with early C20 steps, plinth and superstructure
with gabled ends. Granite. Early C16 moulded granite pier of 4 hollows and 4
shafts with moulded plinth and carved capital used as shaft to support solid
granite gabled structure with inscription. Pier stands on early C20 square plinth
on 3 steps. Granite stone with Second World War inscription rests against square
plinth. The early C16 pier of same section as piers of south arcade of church and
is probably re-used from church.
