6/14 Chimney at SW580288, Sidney
Godolphin Mine (west)

GV II

Detached mine chimney. Circa mid-late C19. Granite rubble and brick. Round plan.
Tapered single stage chimney, lower half rubble, upper half brick laid in polychrone
bands; cornice partly fallen. Sidney Godolphin mine was a tin mine, worked between
circa 1827 and 1853, but working resumed on 1, if not two subsequent occasions.
