6/15 Chimney at SW580288, Sidney
Godolphin Mine (east)

GV II

Detached mine chimney. Circa mid-late C19. Granite rubble and brick. Round plan.
Tall tapered single stage chimney mostly rubble but polychrone banded brick to upper
part rising to machicolated cornice. Sidney Godolphin mine was a tin mine worked
between circa 1827 and 1853, but working resumed on one, if not two subsequent
occasions.
