Shown on OS map as Treniffle Farmhouse. Farmhouse. Early to mid-C17, extended
late C17, remodelled c.1800 with later additions and alterations. Rendered slate-
stone; slate roofs. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys. 3-window front; 16-paned
glazing bar sashes directly below eaves, left horned. Ground floor has early C20
french windows flanking central C20 panelled door. Integral end stacks with red
brick shafts, left C19, right C20. Single-storey lean-to attached to left gable
end. Rear range has central 20-paned horned sash with Gothic glazing lighting
staircase. Interior: Pilastered segmental headed arch-way leads from right front
room to rear range and similar arch-way in hall of rear range. This has early
C19 staircase with stick balusters and circular bottom newel Front range has collar
truss roof in 6 bays with notched collars and similar roof to rear range has lapped
joints.
