GV II

Gateway at the west entrance to the mortuary chapels. Circa 1856. Random granite
rubble and granite ashlar. Cast iron gates.
Central pair of square plan ashlar piers, about 2½ metres high with shaped caps and
cushion finials. Pair of cast iron gates with trefoil finials to top and mid rails.
The wall is swept forward at each sides, about 2 metres high with granite coping.
Terminal pier of same design to right. Terminal pier to left with pedestrian gateway
with lower plain pier with flat cap. Similar single cast iron gate.
