Small house. Mid-late C16. Plastered cob on rubble footings; volcanic stone and
brick stacks; slate roof formerly thatch. 2-room and through passage plan. 2-
storeys. Adjoins No. 20 The Village to east (right of front) and gable end to west
includes small C19 chimney serving first floor. Large C16 stone lateral stack
projects to front of hall and includes mutilated and illegible Beerstone date
plaque set near the top . 3-window front of C20 casements with passage door
immediately right of stack. C16 oak plank and muntin screen from passage to hall.
Hall has large stone fireplace with replacement oak lintel and cob-walled stair
turret projecting to bar. Side-pegged jointed cruck roof. Coin of Charles II
discovered over passage screen may date flooring of hall. C19 brick party wall
with No. 20.
