House, formerly a rectory. Late C18, refurbished and enlarged in mid C19.
Plastered rubble, rubble stacks with C19 brick chimney shafts, slate roof, part with
crested ridge tiles. F plan building with main range facing south. The older part
on left (west) end comprises entrance hall and left end room with service block at
right angles to rear. The mid C19 section to right (east) comprises 2 rooms with
stair block to rear of left room. End stack to service wing, rear lateral stack to
left end room and end stacks to mid C19 section. 2 storeys. Irregular frontage
caused by different building phases. Older left side is lower. It has 2-window
front with mid C19 - early C20 casements on first floor, late C19 French windows to
ground floor left and front door to right; a part-glazed panelled door with
patterned lower panel, side lights and flat-roofed timber porch on plain square-
section posts and dentil cornice with moulded entablature. Roof has red crested
ridge tiles and is hipped to left. Mid C19 section to right rises wall height. It
has regular 4-window front comprising ground floor 12-pane sashes and tall first
floor casements with glazing bars; all with flat stucco architraves. Flanking
stucco quoins to this part. Rear elevations have late C19 casements but stair
turret has round-headed sash with glazing bars.
Interior includes mostly mid C19 plasterwork and joinery.
