House, now also incorporating a shop. Cl7 or earlier. Half of
early C18 2-cell house at W now part of house. Timber frame on
brick and flint plinth. Roughcast but N wall dark
weatherboarded. A one and a half storeys, 3-cell, central
chimney plan house facing S with E gable to street with early C20
shopfront projection. Small outshut at SE corner. Irregular S
front to yard with 2 flat topped dormers on the eaves, lean-to
porch and flush wooden casement windows. Former one and a half
storeys central chimney plan 2-cell house at W end now demolished
to W of stack. Large T-plan central chimney to main house, with
vitrified headers, a third from W end. Side-purlin roof.
Inserted floor, c1700 on chamfered cross beams.
