House. C17 or earlier, front wing probably early C18. Timber
frame on stucco sill. Roughcast with weatherboarded apron and
rear wall. Steep old red tile roofs. A 2-storeys, 3-cell,
central-chimney plan house with later 2-storeys front wing added
at NE with its own external N chimney for a ground floor
fireplace. Later lean-to rear extension. Probably originally a
lobby-entry by stack later enclosed in front wing. Lean-to porch
in the angle. E front has large square red brick central chimney
a third from N end, and a later small external gable chimney at S
end. 2 windows to each floor of house, 2 in upper floor gabled
wing and one on ground floor. 2-light flush casement windows
with leaded lattice glazing. Said to have exposed timbering
inside and open fireplace.
