15/99 Nos 1 and 2 Yew Tree Cottages

GV II

Pair of cottages, late C17 on earlier core, roughcast with rubble
stone plinth, plain tile roof and end stacks. 2 storeys, 5-window
range of casement pairs, 5 to first floor, ground floor centre door
with timber hood on brackets, 2 C20 casements to right, door and
casement pair to left. Lean-to on right end wall. Left side
cottage has 6-panel compartmental ceiling and bolection-moulded
stone fireplace. Right side cottage has dog-leg stair with
panelled dado, panelled newel posts and landing balustrade of half-
column balusters, oddly notched.
