GV II
Boundary walls, piers and gates. Mid C19. Squared and coursed limestone with
saddle-back coping, c 1.5 metres high, running full width of churchyard and school
room sites adjoining Beachley Road. Opposite the east end of St John's Church (qv)
a pair of 700 mm square piers c 2 metres high with pyramid stepped sandstone
cappings and pair of simple contemporary iron gates; opposite school room (qv)
entrance a similar pair of piers c 1.7 metres high with a single gate of comparable
design. These walls and gates are significant in holding together the two related
buildings which they contain.
