Cottage. Probably C17 with c1800 refronting, later alterations
and c1950 additions to rear. Brick with some internal
timber-frame; tile roof with brick end stack. Single storey
with attic; 2-window range. Entrance to right has arch-braced
gabled canopy over C20 half-glazed door. Ground floor has
canted bay window with hipped roof and 4:12:4-pane sashes;
attic has 2 gabled dormers with 2-light small-paned casements.
Right return has exposed tie beam; rear wing partly projects,
with half-hipped roof and weatherboarding over entrance. Rear
has large rear wing. INTERIOR: chamfered beam and fireplace
with small window and spur wall to side; former rear wall has
wall posts leaning to right and covered rubble plinth. 1st
floor has timber-framed wall to rear and exposed end tie beam,
and tie beam and collar truss. Included for group value.
