This Union Flag was worn in HMS Queen Elizabeth in April 1919 by Admiral of the Fleet Earl Beatty of the North Sea and Brooksby, Commander in chief Grand Fleet 1916 to 1919. The light coloured part, opposite the hoist, shows how the conservationist has mounted the flag to preserve it. (Photo Jun 2015).
