House, now 2 dwellings. Late C16/early C17, extended early C18. Rendered timber
framing with brick infill; coursed limestone rubble with brick dressings;
weatherboarded timber framing; thatch roofs with brick stacks. 2-unit plan
extended to 3-units. 2 storeys. Earlier 2 bays to right of 3-window front are
timber-framed and have a plank door and 3-light casements; to left, the later
rubble bay has 5-course quoins and segmental-arched 3-light casements, and the
return wall contains a segmental-arched entrance. The steep-pitched roof is
hipped to left with a stack rising from the rear slope. A further tall stack,
with much narrow brick, rises against the right gable from a stone chimney
projection. A third stack rises from the ridge of a low rubble-walled projection
set back to left of the main range which continues as a thatched weatherboarded
outbuilding range. Interiors not inspected.
