GV II

House, early C19, grey gault brick and brick with cobble panels, slate roof. Plan rectangular of street range and full width integral rear wing. 2 storey and cellar. Front N elevation: 2 window range with central doorway, brickwork good survival of original black colourwash and mortar with tucked pointing. Giant pilasters support plain entablature, central upper panel with Greek key motif, all in stucco. Eaves soffit board similarly decorated and with `jewel' motifs. Windows slight segment heads, stuccoed voussoirs, all sashes, glazing bars, 3x4 panes, some early glass. Doorway, wooden, flat cornice hood, simple entablature but jambs decorated with recessed moulded panels with nail head. Contemporary door has 2 recessed panels with roundels. Cellar grilles each side. Rear, S elevation: broad 2-storey gabled wing, brick with flint cobble panels, rendered gable, first floor casement window 2x3 panes, rest obscured. W end elevation blank.
