Cottage. Probably later C18, altered. White-painted render on
cobble, slate roof. Single-depth 2-unit plan. One-and-a-half
storeys, 2 windows; at the right-hand end is a gabled porch
which has a doorway with stone surround and hoodmould, a small
6-pane window in each side, also with hoodmoulds, and a roof
with projected eaves and verges; the main range has two
3-light mullioned windows on each floor, the upper in dormers.
Gable chimney in line with porch. INTERIOR: small chamfered
ceiling beams in both rooms. HISTORY: one of the few surviving
pre-industrial dwellings in Lytham, probably a fisherman's
cottage. Forms group with Nos 16 and 18 adjoining to the right
(q.v.) and with Nos 13 and 15 opposite (q.v.).
