Pair of cottages. c.1840, slightly altered. Red brick in
English garden wall bond (4+1) with sandstone dressings and
slate roof. Double-depth plan, each single-fronted. Two low
storeys, 1+1 windows, symmetrical; outer bays with doorways
only (no windows above); these have stone surrounds and
hoodmoulds (altered doors); one 6-light mullion-and-transom
window on each floor, those at ground floor taller, all with
hoodmoulds. One ridge chimney. Forms group with No.14 (q.v.)
and Nos 16 & 18 (q.v.) opposite, and with Nos 3 & 4 Queen
Street (q.v.).
