Terrace of 4 houses. Early C19. Limestone ashlar with party
wall stacks and slate mansard roofs. Double-depth plan. Late
Georgian style.
Each of 3 storeys, attic and basement. A short terrace
articulated by pilasters through a plat band to cornice and
parapet, with a full attic storey to No.49. Left-hand
semicircular-arched doorways, No.47 has pilasters to an
entablature, with metal tear-drop fanlights and 6-panel doors,
the upper 4 raised. Single ground-floor 8/8-pane sashes,
6/6-pane first-floor sashes, with timber balconies, cast-iron
brackets to Nos 48 & 49, and wrought-iron railings with
pointed arches and quatrefoils to Nos 47, 48 & 50; 3/3-pane
second-floor sashes, various dormers, with two 6/6-pane attic
sashes to No.49. Projecting basement forms a raised flagged
pavement, with C20 windows and doorways. INTERIOR not
inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached cast-iron railings
along basement pavement.
