GV II

Town house with shop. Mid C19 on site of the C16 Great House.
Stucco on studwork; asbestos slate roof with deep eaves at the
front; cast-iron ogee gutters. Double-depth plan, 3 storeys;
3-window range. 4-pane hornless sashes to 1st and 2nd floors;
granite plinth, band over 1st floor; pilaster strips flanking
ground-floor quoin rustications above. Ground floor has wide,
possibly original, shop front with moulded fascia carried on 4
Doric pilasters; double shop window on the right, doorway and
another window on the left. First floor has recessed window
surrounds; 2nd floor has moulded architraves; both upper
floors have sills on brackets. INTERIOR not inspected.
